Cambodia-Thailand Trade Volume Hit Over US$8 billion in 2018

Cambodia-Thailand trade volume reached more than US$8 billion in 2018, and it is expected to increase to US$15 billion by 2020.
The update was shared by Mr. Jirawuth Suwanna-Arj, Minister Counsellor (Commerce) of the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh in a press conference here in Phnom Penh yesterday.
Besides the rising trade volume, the minister counsellor continued, Thai investment capital in Cambodia has also increased to over US$66 million, adding that those investments focus on food services, air conditioning equipment, electronic devices, construction, fruit processing plants and beyond.
He continued that
Thai firms and investors are also looking for more investment opportunities in Cambodia, thanks to
its potentials, peace and political stability.
According to Mr. Jirawuth Suwanna-Arj, by far, Cambodia has exported agricultural crops including corn, beans, cassavas to Thailand, and imported commodities, like machineries, electronic equipment, construction materials, foods, cosmetic products, etc.
