Casinos in Kandal Province Temporarily Closed

The provincial authority has temporarily shut down casinos in Kandal province’s Koh Thom district after five cases of COVID-19 were detected there.

The ban was announced in a press statement issued on Mar. 9 in the name of the Provincial Governor H.E. Kong Sophorn, stressing that the cases happened to foreign nationals.

The authority, according to the statement, is also tracing the contacts with the patients to bring them for testing and quarantine.

As of this afternoon, the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cambodia rose to 1,060, of which 538 have successfully recovered with no fatal cases.
