Cambodian PM Returns Home from Foreign Mission
AKP Phnom Penh, October 12, 2018 —
Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen of the Kingdom of Cambodia arrived home this afternoon after attending important meetings in Japan and Indonesia from Oct. 6 to 12, 2018.
The Cambodian Premier and his entourage were welcomed upon their arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport by Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence, and many other high-ranking government officials.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen paid a visit to Japan and attended the 10th Mekong-Japan Summit in Tokyo from Oct. 6 to 10, then he headed directly to the ASEAN Leaders’ Gathering and the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Group (WBG) in Bali, Indonesia on Oct. 11-12.
According to his official Facebook page, the Prime Minister’s foreign mission was concluded successfully.
In the 10th ASEAN-Mekong Summit, the participating leaders exchanged views to strengthen the ASEAN-Mekong cooperation, boost new strategic plans, increase connectivity, enhance social welfare for the regional and global progress, it pointed out.
For its part, added the same source, the ASEAN Leaders’ Gathering is a forum for all ASEAN leaders to work more closely with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank, as well as the United Nations, and reflects the ASEAN’s strong cooperation in achieving true progress so as to reach sustainable development goals.
